When The Mammoth Started to Sweat….

An Exhibition for Children about the Stone Age

When the conditions of the last Ice Age started to change flora and fauna, humans also adjusted: nomadic mammoth hunters became settlers and agricultural farmers. The children and family-oriented exhibition highlights the different ways of living in the Stone Age.

Original finds such as arrowheads, harvest knives and birch pitch chewing gums are presented in special low cabinets. A playmobil-landscape, information posters and pictures turn the exhibition into an area of exploration. Various hands-on points invite children to try out techniques of the Stone Age. An interesting fringe programme with hands-on offers and events grants deeper insight to the exhibition’s topics.
