To find out which programmes are offered or how to enrol at university, you will have to contact the respective university. In Germany, there are also programmes taught in English or other languages.

You can obtain initial information about the universities and university programmes on offer in Freiburg and the region from the Youth Immigration Service (for the age group up to 26 years of age). You can also get information about the different options to receive financial support. You can also get initial information in an orientation meeting at the Education Guide (WeBi).

The "WeBi" in the entrance area of the City Library is the central guide in Freiburg for all matters relating to education and counselling. It's a compilation of all educational services and educational counselling services. The offers are available in the form of flyers or can be explained in a consultation session. We provide fast and accurate information on possible routes to school in Freiburg and discuss the next steps.

Language Teaching Institute (SLI) of the Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg

The SLI offers language courses for students and non-students. In addition to German as a foreign language, it also offers English, Romance languages, Russian and Swedish, etc. Furthermore, the SLI conducts the DSH exam (language test for university admission) four times a year.
