Modern Art from the Netherlands

Augustinermuseum

The Augustinermuseum is showing an important private collection of Dutch art of the 19th and early 20th century from the Groninger Museum. Its spectrum ranges from Naturalism to the New Objectivity. Among the most renowned artists are Isaac Israels, Johan Barthold Jongkind and Willem Bastiaan Tholen. Significant works by Corot, Gauguin and Redon testify to the influence of French Impressionism.
