The Augustinermuseum presents Dutch paintings from the 16th and 17th century.

One of the highlights is the “Golden Age” in the 17th century which is further separated into the following sections, landscape, architecture, still life, history and portrait. It is for the first time that an important private collection of Christoph Müller is showcased in Freiburg. In 2011 the collection was accepted as foundation of the National Museum Schwerin.
