Our Black Forest - romance and reality

The Black Forest as a cultural landscape, habitat and home is part of Freiburg’s cultural heritage. The history and tales of the Black Forest will take centre stage at the Augustiner Museum in its multifaceted exhibition on the romance and reality of the Black Forest. Seeing from a new, fresh and sometimes bold perspective, it presents a vast historical collection of ethnic objects.

Wild romanticism, everyday culture, industry, handicrafts, hard farm work, traditional costumes, religious beliefs, art, poetry and tourism development guide visitors on this journey through the Black Forest.
